It was said that there was a solar eclipse today (21 June, GMT+8).
Many people did see it. Those photos about this amazing astronomical landscape are almost everywhere on the internet, even my dad sent me a photo to show off that he successfully had witnessed and shot this “moon-like” sun.
However, tragically, I didn’t see anything unusual today.
I spent all my daylight time in front of my laptop, enjoying Minecraft. I undoubtedly wasn’t a blind person during the process of gaming because I hadn’t turned the lamp on at all, and therefore if it got dark, I could definitely perceive that something had happened outside. But the truth is NO: I hadn’t seen anything changed – got dark, moon-like sun, etc. From my dad’s photo, when it happened, it was dark as if it was night time, with a “crescent” illuminating. Nevertheless, in my impression, where I’m living now, everything’s normal.
The only thing I can tell is that when Dad sent me a photo, it did become a little dark outside. The change was so slight that I thought that was nothing but naturally “get dark”.
