About days ago I bought a new Gamo airgun.
To tell the truth, I’ve already had one of Norica (maybe it’s Norica Spider GRS). This old one is relatively at a low price but unexpectedly powerful (its kick is sooooo sexy and its gunshot is so loud that always scared the rest of the shooting gallery), however, it’s also with not very good workmanship and design, especially its aiming system… the screw for controlling the height of the rear sight is so loose that causes it impossible to fix the sight in an adjusted position at all, which definitely makes the gun a toy thing.
So this time I bought this one of Gamo. It’s more expensive even with a discount, but it’s undoubtedly more… comfortable (not to mention that with this price I can get a telescope as an extra). Every time when I hold it in my hand, it gives an easy sense to my body. And, of course, its aiming system is more like real stuff: at least I can adjust it to a more-or-less perfect condition for the 10-meter gallery and don’t need to keep handling it in the future. I and my friends also did hard work to try to home the telescope when we went to the range for the debut of the airgun but, because of the lacking of experience, we failed, which made me then have no choice but to turn to the gunshop for help. Oh and, in the gunshop, the clerks told me that actually if I wanted to bring the airgun outside, I must go to the city hall for the registration. After that, I would get a card with which I could bring the airgun out legally. That’s quite news for me because in 2019 and 2020, every time when I went to the shooting range, I carried my gun bag walking in the street, in the metro and Cercanía, even on the campus… without any paper! Even several times I passed under the noses of the police and security personnel! Man, seriously… Ok, anyway, now I gotta register my new airgun, meanwhile make clear if I still can register my old airgun.
I also asked the clerks about the license for shotguns and rifles. Actually, the license itself isn’t something expensive and complicated, but for the guns? Absolutely no. I don’t think I’m rich enough to afford a shotgun or a rifle (and, of course, their peripherals, the ammunitions, the club membership…). Well, maybe I could get a license as a memento. Just maybe…
By the way, today, the 1st of April is my girlfriend’s birthday. I ordered a cake for her, also bought her a dress as a birthday present. I hope she will be happy and joyful.
